Carpet, Sofa & Rug Cleaning Prices in Glasgow

Honest guide pricing for every job — carpets from around £30 a room, sofas from £45, rugs from £25. VAT and travel included, exact figure confirmed free.

In Glasgow, carpet cleaning typically costs £30–£45 for a single bedroom and £40–£65 for a living room, a three-seat sofa is £70–£95 and a two-seat £45–£70, rugs run £25–£40 to £75–£110, and a double mattress is £45–£60. The minimum call-out is £60. These are guide ranges — we confirm your exact figure free on the phone or WhatsApp before anything is booked, and once it is agreed it does not change.

These are honest guide ranges rather than a single headline number, because the real figure depends on things we cannot see from here: room size, fibre type, how long the soiling has been there, and whether there are stairs. A firm quoting one flat number for every living room in Glasgow is either rounding up to be safe or planning to revise it on your doorstep.

How the price is actually set. Tell us the rooms on the phone, or WhatsApp a photo — a photo is better, because we can see the fibre and the soiling. We give you an exact figure there and then, free, with no site visit for most homes. That figure is then fixed: it does not move on the day unless you add rooms, and if we arrive and the job is genuinely bigger than described we tell you the new number before any work starts, with no obligation and no charge for our time.

Minimum call-out is £60. Every figure below includes VAT, travel anywhere in our coverage area, spot treatment on stains, furniture moving, and the re-clean guarantee.

Pricing questions

How much do carpet cleaners charge in the UK?
Between about £25 and £75 per room, depending on the firm, the region and the room size, with a minimum call-out of £50 to £80 almost everywhere. Our own guide ranges are £30–£45 for a single bedroom, £35–£55 for a double, £40–£65 for a living room and £60–£90 for hall, stairs and landing, with a £60 minimum. Anyone quoting £15 a room is either using a domestic machine, cleaning three rooms in twenty minutes, or planning to find extras once they are inside the house.
How much is professional carpet cleaning for a whole house?
A three-bedroom house — three bedrooms, a living room and hall, stairs and landing — is typically £140–£200, and a four-bedroom £180–£260. Booking it as one job rather than room by room saves meaningfully on the total, because it is one call-out, one set-up and one pack-down instead of several. We confirm your exact figure free before anything is booked.
How much does sofa cleaning cost?
A two-seat fabric sofa is typically £45–£70 and a three-seat £70–£95, both including the cushions cleaned on both sides. An armchair is £25–£40, dining chair seat pads £10–£15 each, and a corner or L-shaped suite £95–£150 priced per seat. Leather is cleaned and conditioned at £30–£45 a seat. The £60 minimum call-out applies, so a single armchair on its own is £60.
Are professional carpet cleaners worth the money?
On a dirty carpet, yes, and the reason is residue rather than effort. A hired machine applies more water than it can recover and has no rinse stage, so detergent stays in the pile, stays sticky and attracts soil faster than before — which is why a DIY clean often looks worse within a month. A proper clean finishes with a neutralising rinse and lasts about twelve months. On a carpet that is worn rather than dirty, or damaged by a burn or bleach, cleaning will not help and we will tell you so before you book.
Why do you show a price range instead of one fixed price?
Because the honest figure depends on things we cannot see from a web page: room size, fibre type, how long the soiling has been there and whether there are stairs. A firm publishing one flat number for every living room in Glasgow is either rounding up to be safe or planning to revise it on your doorstep. So we publish the range we genuinely work within, then confirm your exact figure free on the phone or from a WhatsApp photo — and once you accept it, that number is fixed and does not change on the day.
Is there a cheaper option if I only need one room?
Not really, and we would rather be straight about why: the £60 minimum call-out exists because the journey, set-up and pack-down cost the same whether we clean one room or four. A single bedroom still comes to £60. Most people add a second room once they know that, because the second room costs its own rate rather than another whole call-out.
Do you charge extra for stairs, travel, VAT or stain treatment?
No to all four. Hall, stairs and landing is £60–£90 as a package for one flight, priced per flight and never per step. Travel is free anywhere in our coverage area. Every figure includes VAT. Spot treatment on stains and moving light furniture are included as standard. The only things that cost extra are the optional add-ons listed above, and you choose those.
