Why we started

This business started after one too many customers described the same experience: a cheap quote on the phone, a different number at the door, a soaking wet carpet and a company that stopped answering. Carpet cleaning in Glasgow had a reputation problem, and it was earned.

So the model here is deliberately boring. Publish every price. Quote it on the phone and stick to it. Train properly, clean properly, and if something is not right, come back and fix it without an argument.

Who we work with

We work with homes and businesses across Glasgow, including letting agents, property factors, hotels and offices among our regular commercial clients. Everything from a single student flat in Partick to a forty-room refurbishment in Lanarkshire.

Training and certification

Our technicians are trained to IICRC standards in carpet cleaning, upholstery and fabric cleaning, and odour control. That matters more than it sounds: the difference between a clean carpet and a shrunk, browned, permanently damaged one is entirely down to whether the person holding the wand understands fibre, pH and moisture.

Two kinds of insurance get mentioned in this trade and they are not the same thing. Public liability covers us if we damage your house. Treatment risk covers us if we damage the thing we were hired to clean — the wool carpet, the hand-knotted rug, the leather suite. A great many firms carry the first and not the second, and the second is the one that matters when a clean goes wrong. We carry both, and it is worth asking anyone you are considering, not only us.

On background checks: we are a Scottish business, so our technicians are checked through Disclosure Scotland rather than the DBS system used in England and Wales. It is the same principle under a different name, and it matters because a carpet cleaner is someone you let into your home, often while you are out.

Where we are and what we cover

We are based at 72 Stanmore Rd, Glasgow G42 9AL, in Mount Florida on the south side, and we work out from there across Glasgow city and Greater Glasgow — forty areas in total, from the West End and Partick across to Dennistoun and the East End, south through Shawlands, Cathcart and Newton Mearns, and out to Paisley, East Kilbride, Hamilton, Clydebank, Dumbarton and Kilmarnock.

There is no travel charge anywhere on that list, and that is a real policy rather than a line of marketing: the outlying towns are served on scheduled routes, so getting to Wishaw or Erskine costs us a planned journey rather than a special trip. The honest trade-off is that same-day work is easy in Rutherglen and Mount Florida and harder in Kilmarnock or Dumbarton, and we will tell you which you are rather than take a booking we cannot keep.

Our equipment

Truck-mounted extraction for power and heat where the van can get close, high-performance portable extraction units for tenement flats and upper floors, rotary and counter-rotating agitation machines, UV detection for pet contamination, and air movers on every job. Low-moisture encapsulation systems for commercial floors that cannot close.

Carrying both truck-mount and portable matters in Glasgow specifically. A large share of the housing here is tenement flats two and three storeys up a stone stair with no lift, where a truck-mounted hose simply cannot reach and a firm with only one type of machine will either refuse the job or do it badly. Carrying both also means we are not quietly recommending whichever method our equipment happens to suit.

What we do not do

We clean soft furnishings: carpets, rugs, upholstery, mattresses and commercial floor coverings. We are not a domestic housekeeping company, we do not do weekly or fortnightly house cleaning, we do not do window cleaning, oven cleaning or end-of-tenancy whole-property cleans beyond the carpets, and we do not fit, repair or stretch carpet.

We say this plainly because a steady trickle of people reach this site looking for a general cleaner, and sending them away in one sentence is better for everyone than a vague answer and a wasted phone call. If you need a housekeeper or a full move-out clean, we are the wrong firm — though we are happy to do the carpets alongside whoever you use.

How we price, and why everything is published

Guide ranges for everything we do are on the pricing page, including the add-ons. We publish ranges rather than one flat figure because the honest answer depends on room size, fibre and how long the soiling has been there — but we publish them, which most of this trade does not, so you can tell before you ring us whether we are in your budget.

Your exact figure is confirmed free on the phone or WhatsApp, before anything is booked. From that point it is fixed: it does not move on the day, and there is no premium tier to be upsold to. If we arrive and the job turns out to be genuinely bigger than described, we tell you the new number and you decide, before any work starts, with no obligation and no call-out fee for our time.

If something goes wrong

Tell us within 48 hours and we come back and re-clean the area free. No form, no argument, no quibbling about whether it is a spot or a stain. That is the whole guarantee and it is deliberately short, because a guarantee with conditions attached is a guarantee designed not to be claimed.

We would also rather you told us on the day. Walk round the job with us before we pack up — we ask every customer to — because something that can be re-treated while the equipment is still in the hall is a five-minute fix rather than a second visit.
